Unfortunately there are many misconceptions about the AR-15 that are perpetuated by media and anti-gun liberals. Here are some of these myths debunked.
1. AR DOES NOT stand for Assault Rifle or Automatic Rifle. It actually stands for ArmaLite Rifle. ArmaLite was the originl company to manufacture it. 2. ARs are in fact not automatic. One trigger pull, equals one round fired. This makes an AR semi-automatic. The same as many types of shotguns, pistols, and hunting rifles. In fact, Semi Automatic weapons have been available to the public since 1901. 3. ARs are in fact used to hunt. They can be used to hunt in 40 different states, and are typically used to hunt feral hogs, rabbits, elk, coyotes, deer, and even seal. 4. ARs are not rediculously powerful. In fact they are on average much less poweerful than a typical bolt action rifle or shotgun.
